I am a published author, licensed attorney, Arabic linguist and Arab world specialist. I received my undergraduate education
at the University of Texas in Austin (B.A. Middle East Studies), and my Juris Doctorate from
Cornell Law School. I also spent a year studying at the University of Jordan in Amman, Jordan as a
recipient of the National Security Education Program scholarship. I currently work professionally as an independent analyst on the Middle East.
My book is based primarily on
secondary sources (scholarly sources in English), while my online writing is largely original research based on Arabic sources.
